Out of District Application

 

Parents/Guardians,

     Effective school year 24-25, there is a new law that went into effect that impacts out-of-district students.  There are new processes and procedures that we are required to follow.  

     The new law allows for the denial of out of district students and our current policy (Policy 3141 attached) outlines the selection criteria and preferences.

     One of the new requirements is that all out-of-district students be approved by the School District Six Board of Trustees.  The Board meets on the second Monday of the month.  No out-of-district student will be able to start classes prior to this approval.  Classes for the 24-25 school year begin on September 3.  Students will need to be approved at the August 12 board meeting in order to begin on the first day of school. There is a time factor for these applications, so please complete at your earliest convenience. Please see the priorities given with Policy 3141.
